According to sources, there has been a discussion on the level of Universal Health Scheme at the level of Health Ministry, Finance Ministry and Prime Minister's Office. It is broadly agreed that the Universal Health Scheme is needed to provide relief to the common man. In which the premium can be fixed on the basis of income. The Government believes that the way the cost of treatment is increasing, such lower class and middle class can be given great relief through the cheap health insurance scheme.

According to sources, the way in which the government has added 38 million customers through the JandhanaYojana, as well as the total number of 18 million people associated with Prime Minister Health Insurance Scheme and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Suraksha Bima Yojana. Under these schemes, the insured is getting insurance cover of Rs. 1-2 lakhs. Given the success of these schemes, the Government now wants to bring a health insurance cover scheme. After which, every citizen of the country can take full coverage under social security.
